Kyle Collinsworth added 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds to help the hot-shooting Cougars (2-0) build a 19-point lead with 6:30 remaining. BYU shot 53.5 percent from the floor and led for the final 37 minutes.
Chasson Randle scored a career-high 33 points to go with seven rebounds and Dwight Powell had 28 points and seven rebounds, but their Cardinal (1-1) teammates struggled to provide support. Stanford shot 46 percent and had 16 turnovers.
Stanford hadn’t allowed 100 points at home in a non-overtime game since beating Yale 129-108 on Dec. 6, 1985.
BYU’s first visit to Maples Pavilion since 1969 — the arena’s inaugural year — felt like a homecoming. Cougars fans sprinkled around the building serenaded the visitors with chants of “B-Y-U” throughout and roared after every score.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Aaron Gordon had 14 oints and 10 rebounds and Brandon Ashley added 16 points for the Wildcats.
After a so-so opener against Cal Poly, Arizona (2-0) looked more like the team everyone expected, dominating Long Beach State from the opening tip.
Gordon and T.J. McConnell, who had eight assists, got it started and the Wildcats smothered the 49ers defensively all night, holding them to 27 percent shooting.
Gabe York had 14 points and six assists, Nick Johnson added 14 points and Arizona shot 58 percent from the field.
Dan Jennings had 16 points to lead Long Beach State (1-1), which went 5 of 23 from 3-point range.

Gonzaga made 14 3-pointers and shot 58 percent from the field (34 of 59).

Napier finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the Huskies (2-0), while Omar Calhoun had 18 points and Niels Giffey added 15, all of them in the first half. He and Calhoun combined for eight of UConn’s 11 3-pointers.
